What does the order status mean?

Last Updated: Apr 15, 2011 12:23PM BST

There are six order status that we generally work with for orders on iStyles:

  • Pending Payment

Pending Payment orders are captured only so that we can follow-up with help for customers who're having problems with PayPal. These orders will not cause any problems and will be otherwise ignored.

In some rare cases, the payment processor does not update our system correctly and the order remains in the Pending Payment status. We will approve the order manually in such cases as we have a secondary process in place to catch such misses.

  • Processing

The order was received successfully. The order will be checked for stock availability and payment clearance before it gets approved.

  • Approved

Orders that are approved will be go into the processing queue. Packages usually ship shipped within one to three business days (non-holiday Mon to Fri).

  • Pending Stock

The order contains one or more items that are currently out of stock. The package will ship as soon as the stock is available.

  • Pending Clearance

The payment for the order was made via some form of electronic check and the order will be approved only after the check clears.

  • Shipped

The order was shipped. The delivery time for a package can range from a few days to a few weeks depending on the shipping method selected, the shipping origin, the shipping destination and how the package gets routed to the destination.

A typical order flow will be: Pending Payment -> Processing -> Approved -> Shipped
